Cruises

Cruising our harbour has been of one of the delights of having such an important body of the water right in the middle of the city. The residents of Hong Kong have come to perhaps take for granted the harbour, though we don't hesitate to rally to support it when threatened by excessive reclamation, pollution or other modern challenges.

But cruising on the harbour is a daily necessity for those many people who either live on some of the Outlying Islands of Hong Kong or who merely need to commute to and froe and find that the Star Ferry is actually the fastest and most convenient way to reach many destinations.

For the traveler to Hong Kong some dedicated cruises have been organized and we encourage you to explore the various options available. Some are operated by historic ferry companies, such as the Star Ferry Cruise or the Bauhinia Cruise, while others are newly and custom built just to provide a luxury experience to the visitor, these include the Aqua Luna.

In addition the Port of Hong Kong is the starting, and ending, point of many global and regional cruises including those operated by the Star line.  Cruise vessels dock in Victoria Harbour either at the Ocean Terminal, located right in the middle of the Tsimshatsui district just moments away from the Golden Mile of Nathan Road, the Star Ferry and other major attractions.

Alternatively some large cruise boats dock at the new Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, built on the disused old international airport runway which extends on reclaimed land far out into our harbour.

Try the Hong Kong Harbor Night Cruise and Dinner at Victoria Peak which includes dinner with a view of the harbour and a cruise on a boat on the harbour itself!
